Mary Patten & Kim McIntosh

Santa Fe Home Furnishings

For 40 years, Mary Patten owned and operated her own design / retail home furnishings business in Hanover, New Hampshire. In June of 2015, Mary sold her business, C. Beston & Company, and that August, with her husband Scott, she moved to Santa Fe. Four months later, they opened Santa Fe Home, a 7500 square foot home furnishings business in the historic Railyard. Their business is now thriving and they are proud to be part of the Designer’s ShowHouse 2017

The Gathering Gallery

Rather than serving as simply an elegant hallway to the bedrooms, this lovely, light-filled space has been designed as a more social Gathering Gallery. Now, it serves as a perfect spot for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, watching birds in the garden; a peaceful, passive place to read on the portal in the dappled afternoon sunlight; or a convivial spot for evening cocktails before dinner on the terrace.

Our interpretation of “West of Contemporary” is bold, complex and organic. Venturing from a strict application of black and white, we have used tribal fabrics in tones of black & hemp, along with textured leathers and accents of saffron and terracotta. Linen, leather, matka silk and wool, partnered with handsome metals, wood and stone lend and earthy, dynamic character to this inviting space
